Lloyd G. Vinish - Facilitator

Lloyd has extensive project management experience of large projects with tight timelines with excellent ability to organize and deliver on a wide variety of priorities and objectives.He has the ability to build and lead a team, as well as to work within a team that includes an ability to learn quickly and apply skills to new situations, produce large amounts of work to strict deadlines, either individually or in a team, with excellent outcomes. Lloyd offers this ability in his practical workshops on a variety of topics (e.g., strategic planning and execution, human resource management, operations and financial analysis), anywhere from 2 hours to multiple days.

Lloyd was employed by CBI Health Group as Chief Operating Officer – 2006 to 2010, Toronto. CBI is the largest provider of physical and occupational rehabilitation services in Canada with 3,000 employees across 150 locations in 8 provinces; total annual revenue approximately $225 million. Lloyd was responsible for all business outcomes as well as intimately involved in about five acquisitions per year.  During his tenure as COO, revenues and profits more than doubled leading to a very successful sale of the company to OMERS in January 2011. Previous to that, from 1997-2005 he was Vice President of Operations, Western Canada based in Vancouver where he was responsible for all aspects of the businesses in W Canada. During his tenure, operations in W Canada grew from 18 sites to 33, and from $15 million of annual revenue to $40 million.

Prior to CBI, LLoyd was a Project Consultant for RLG International in Vancouver, British Columbia where he was partnered with one major client (Workers’ Compensation Board of BC) to enhance performance by developing performance management and continuous improvement systems.  This cross-disciplinary job required business analysis, training, facilitation, business coaching, planning, and extensive use of written and verbal communication skills. From 1981 to May 1995 Lloyd held several senior engineering and management positions with Agrium, Inc. 

Lloyd posesses a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering with Great Distinction from University of Saskatchewan and an MBA from Simon Fraser University.


Una Gabie, Lawyer at Pushor Mitchell LLP

Una’s practice area involves business law, wills and estates, trusts, real estate and employment law. During her time with Pushor Mitchell she has been involved in a number of cases and transactions in these areas.

Una completed her undergraduate studies at Simon Fraser University in 2004 and then obtained her Bachelor of Law degree from the University of Western Ontario in 2007. After summering with Pushor Mitchell in 2006, she returned to complete her articles in 2007 and was called to the British Columbia Bar in 2008. Una is active in Community Futures Development Corporation as a volunteer on the Loan Committee.


Derek Sanders, Chartered Business Valuator, CA, CFA at Spence Valuations Group Inc. and TailWind Corporate Finance Group Inc.

Mr. Sanders has been working in the area of business valuations, mergers and acquisitions and litigation support services since 2004. He has experience with businesses operating in a variety of industries including a broad range of manufacturing industries, service, construction, distribution, technology, and retail.

Mr. Sanders is a member of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Business Valuators, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of B.C., and the Chartered Financial Analysts Institute. He was the silver medalist when he wrote his national CBV exam and placed in the Top 10 in B.C. when he completed his C.A. exams.
